 Характер спроса на необычный товар. Это когда все кидаются покупать не потому, что очень нужно, а потому, что пару дней назад эту штуку купила себе соседка Люська, а вчера Маринка с Катькой. В общем, все девчонки модные, нельзя ж от масс-то отставать. Как это делается? Не совсем точный, но очень характерный вариант использования метода fad pattern имеется в классическом произведении Ильфа и Петрова о похождениях великого комбинатора. Вспомните, как он у Эллочки-людоедки ситечко выменял на заветный стул. «Хо-хо! Не учите меня жить, парниша». Остап все сделал правильно, потому что он был великим знатоком человеческих душ и знал, как вести себя в светском обществе. «– У меня как раз знакомый дипломат приехал из Вены и привез в подарок. Забавная вещь. – Должно быть, знаменито, – заинтересовалась Эллочка. – Ого! Хо-хо! Давайте обменяемся. Вы мне стул, а я вам ситечко. Хотите?»- и Остап вынул из кармана маленькое позолоченное ситечко. Солнце каталось в ситечке, как яйцо. По потолку сигали зайчики. Неожиданно осветился темный угол комнаты. На Эллочку вещь произвела такое же неотразимое впечатление, какое производит старая банка из-под консервов на людоеда Мумбо-Юмбо. В таких случаях людоед кричит полным голосом, Эллочка же тихо застонала: – Хо-хо!»
